Café du Cycliste
Café du Cycliste is a French cycling apparel brand founded in 2009 by Rémi Clermont and Andre Stewart in a small café in Châteauneuf-de-Grasse, in the hills above the Côte d'Azur. What started as selling jerseys to the café's own customers grew into a full-fledged apparel label with a distinctly French aesthetic.
From the start, the brand's philosophy has combined technical performance with style that doesn't stop the moment you step off the bike — hence its tagline, "prêt-à-porter for cyclists." Rather than classic peloton graphics, Café du Cycliste draws on the Mediterranean coastline and the Alpes-Maritimes mountains for inspiration, resulting in muted colorways and patterns far removed from typical team-sponsor styling.
The brand is a certified B Corp and a member of 1% for the Planet, with nearly 80% of production based in Europe. Its Recycliste program gives used apparel a second life, part of a broader commitment to sustainability.
Café du Cycliste's headquarters and first flagship store are in Nice, and the brand now also operates boutiques in London, Palma de Mallorca, Bédoin, and Paris.
