Bike Trip through Northern Sweden
My bike adventure through Northern Sweden π²πΈπͺ was unforgettable and full of discoveries. I began in Kiruna, a city famous for its unique climate, impressive landscapes, and rich history tied to mines and mineral deposits.
From there, I headed towards the Haparanda - Tornio region, taking a longer break on the picturesque island of Seskaro. This island, located right on the border between Sweden and Finland, captivated me with its bike paths, hidden beaches, and wild nature.
During my journey, I couldn't miss visiting Rovaniemi in Finland, where Santa Claus welcomes guests even in the summer. I also visited the city of Kemi, which offered many interesting sights.
Love for Gravel Roads
My passion for discovering new, unbeaten paths, especially those gravel roads perfect for mountain biking or gravel biking, always provides me with adrenaline and a sense of freedom. This type of traveling is not just about moving from place to place but a real experience of discovering locations inaccessible by other means of transport.
Midsommar in the North
Experiencing Midsommar in this part of the world is a true feast for the senses. The long days and white nights make summer seem endless, painting the sky and ocean in various shades of blue, and the forests in intense shades of green.
Flavors of Northern Sweden
I couldn't miss the local cuisine, rich in flavors related to fish. Salmon in various flavor combinations, berries, and cranberries are just a few of the extraordinary dishes I had the chance to taste. Pizza with northern fruits, salmon, and salmon soup were my true culinary discoveries.
Collecting Nature's Gifts
During my trip, I gathered cranberries, berries, and mushrooms. Cranberries, not only a delicious addition to many dishes but also a treasure trove of health benefits, became one of my favorite harvests. I love combining all these experiences available during bike trips, experiencing the world with all my senses.
